- the AANA Code of Ethics (section 2.7): advertising must be clearly distinguishable as advertising, so a paid or gifted post carries a clear label such as #ad;
- the Australian Consumer Law: the ACCC says brands and creators can both be liable when a sponsored post misleads, and scripts must not make a creator misrepresent their experience;
- Ahpra's advertising rules for health brands, which do not allow testimonials for a regulated health service.
