What happens to my data after I submit it?

It's stored in a separate staging area, never written directly into our public benchmark data. It's only aggregated into the published Index once your industry/market/metric combination has enough independent submissions to publish safely and anonymously — your individual figure is never shown to anyone.

Do I need to give my business name?

No — we only ask for the number itself, the month it applies to, and an optional email if you want your unlock result sent to you. No business name or identifying detail is collected.

Why would I get a different verdict than a similar business?

The percentile estimate is calculated from the currently published range for your exact market, industry and metric — a slightly different metric (e.g. cost-per-lead vs cost-per-consultation) or market will produce a different estimate, honestly, rather than a rough average.
