Yes. The widget is free under CC BY 4.0 — the only requirement is keeping the built-in "Data by shakalakaa" attribution link, which is compiled into the widget script and cannot be removed by configuration.

Does the embedded figure update automatically?

Yes. The widget fetches live from the same public JSON API (api/benchmarks.php) that powers the benchmarks page, so every quarterly data refresh updates every embed automatically — no need to re-copy the snippet.

Does the widget slow down my page?

It's a single dependency-free script under 3KB with one JSON fetch, deferred so it never blocks your page's initial render.
