What is the official XHS web address?

The official XHS web version is www.xiaohongshu.com (opens in a new tab), which Xiaohongshu labels 小红书网页版 (Xiaohongshu web version). When we opened it on 19 October 2026 without an account, it showed the login screen first. Type the address yourself rather than following links from messages.

Any site that is not on xiaohongshu.com and asks for your XHS phone number, password or SMS code is not Xiaohongshu. Close it and go to the address above.
How do you log in to XHS on the web?
You log in to XHS on the web in one of two ways: scan a QR code with the Xiaohongshu app, or use your phone number and an SMS verification code. Both options are built into the official web login screen.
- Open www.xiaohongshu.com in a desktop browser. If the login window does not open by itself, click 登录 (log in).
- QR code: open the Xiaohongshu app on your phone, scan the QR code shown on the screen, then follow the prompt in the app.
- Phone number: enter your mobile number, request the SMS verification code, and type the code into the web page.
- Once logged in, the web feed recommends notes based on your interests, and the search box works across Xiaohongshu notes.
The SMS route also creates a new account if your number has none: Xiaohongshu's web login code labels it SMS code login and registration. If you already use XHS on your phone, the QR code is the quicker route.
Why won't XHS web let me log in?
Most XHS web login failures are an expired QR code, an expired session, too many attempts in a short time, or a browser the site flags. The web client shows these messages in Chinese.

Wording can change as Xiaohongshu updates the site. Never use a third-party tool or website that offers to log you in on your behalf.
What is the difference between the XHS app and the web version?
The XHS app does everything; the web version is mainly for browsing and searching, with publishing handled on a separate creator site. Some items on the web ask you to open the app and scan a QR code to view them.

For most people the app stays the main way to use XHS. The web version helps when you want a bigger screen for research or for writing longer notes.
Which XHS web tools do brands use?
Brands use three desktop tools: the creator platform to publish, the professional account platform for the business account, and Juguang for ads. Setting up the business account comes first, and it is filed under the company's own registered entity.
