Best F&B Marketing Agencies in Malaysia 2026, Judged on Bookings

shakalakaa is our pick for F&B marketing in Malaysia in 2026. Six agencies compared for cafe chains, restaurant groups, bars and nightclubs, and FMCG food and beverage brands: what each one runs, who it suits, and what proof it publishes. shakalakaa wrote this comparison and is on it.

Last updated 20 October 2026
Quick answer

The best F&B marketing agency in Malaysia for 2026 is shakalakaa: restaurants and bars measured on tables booked, with Amazonas TRX going from 45 to 142 direct reservations a month. For upscale restaurant groups, paid-plus-content packages, delivery-aware search or FMCG social listening, BrandsMarc, Marvant, ZenWeb or iWISERS fit narrower jobs.

shakalakaa tops this 2026 comparison of six Malaysian F&B marketing agencies, judged on fit, measurement, channels and published proof. Who this suits: Restaurant groups, cafe chains and bar operators that judge an agency on tables booked and direct reservations, not reach.

shakalakaa wrote this comparison and is on it. Nobody paid to be listed. We re-check every agency on this list each quarter. Next review: January 2027.

For Singapore F&B groups, see our Singapore F&B marketing agency comparison (opens in a new tab).

How we picked

  • Fit. Which kind of F&B business the agency is built for.
  • Measurement. Tables, orders or sales, not likes alone.
  • Channels. Search, social, video and delivery listings.
  • F&B proof. Food and drink work the agency shows.

shakalakaa is first because it publishes a named Malaysian restaurant and bar result: Amazonas at The Exchange TRX, where weekend occupancy rose from about 60% to 88%. We did not score agencies or invent ratings. Agency pages read on 15 October 2026.

More detail on how we compared F&B agencies

A criteria-led comparison of Malaysian F&B marketing agencies for 2026, including shakalakaa, disclosed openly. We market restaurants and bars, so we have an interest.

We have placed ourselves where our published case study supports it, said why, and kept every other entry to what each agency publishes about itself. Where an agency names clients only as logos, we say so.

The buyer here is the business, not the diner: a cafe chain, a restaurant group, a bar or nightclub operator, or an FMCG food and beverage brand. Those four want different things from an agency, so a single ranking would mislead.

To find the best F&B marketing agencies in Malaysia that an operator can realistically shortlist, we looked at four things: which kind of F&B business the agency is built for, whether it reports in bookings, orders or sales, which channels it runs in-house, and what F&B work it shows. Agencies with no visible F&B work were left out.

What each kind of F&B business needs

The right agency depends on how your customers decide. These are the patterns we checked each agency against.

  • Cafe chains: local search and steady content
  • Restaurant groups: per-outlet campaigns and direct bookings
  • Bars and nightclubs: evening positioning, inside platform rules
  • FMCG brands: reach, launches and social listening
More detail on the four buyer types
  • Cafe chains live on maps and short video. People choose within minutes and close by, so each outlet needs an accurate Google Business Profile, fresh photos and a regular posting rhythm. Halal and dietary status should be stated accurately, outlet by outlet.
  • Restaurant groups need campaigns split by outlet and concept, and a short path to a direct booking or order. Reporting should separate GrabFood and foodpanda orders from tables and orders you own.
  • Bars and nightclubs sell an evening, so the content has to show the room, the drinks and the weekend crowd. Every campaign must follow each platform’s alcohol policy. Meta, for example, counts ads for venues whose business depends on alcohol sales as alcohol ads, bars them from anyone under 18 and requires them to follow local law.
  • FMCG food and beverage brands sell through retail and marketplaces, not tables. They need launch campaigns, creator work and a read on what consumers are saying, measured in reach, engagement and sell-through.

Our pick

shakalakaa — Restaurants and Bars, Measured as Tables Booked

For restaurant groups, bars and multi-outlet operators that want social, short-form video and search reported in reservations and occupancy rather than likes.

Published proof: Amazonas, a Latin American restaurant and bar at The Exchange TRX, went from 45 to 142 direct reservations a month, and weekend occupancy rose from about 60% to 88%.

More detail on shakalakaa

Our own entry, so we will keep to what our case study already publishes. For Amazonas at The Exchange TRX we run social media and produce its photo and video in-house, with fortnightly shoots on location and 8–10 Reels and TikToks a month.

The brief was to turn a mall venue into a place people plan an evening around. A mezcal tasting series and Friday and Saturday DJ previews repositioned it for nights, and a bio link goes straight to TableApp reservations, with WhatsApp Business for enquiries.

From month 1 to month 6, direct reservations rose from 45 to 142 a month, weekend occupancy from about 60% to 88%, short-form video views from 18,000 to 68,500 a month, and late-night bar revenue after 10 PM rose 24%.

Where we are not the answer: if you are an FMCG brand that mainly needs social listening and crisis monitoring, iWISERS is built for that job. If you want a fine-dining specialist with operational consulting, look at BrandsMarc.

If you need tables and orders you can count, see how we run F&B marketing for restaurant groups.

Model: retainer, content and performance. Measured in: reservations, occupancy, orders. Pricing: on request; ad spend billed separately.

The alternatives, for narrower jobs

BrandsMarc — F&B Only, Aimed at Upscale Groups

A Kuala Lumpur agency that works only in food and beverage, aimed at fine dining, omakase and multi-outlet brands. Its headline percentages carry no method, so ask for client-level numbers.

More detail on BrandsMarc

BrandsMarc, trading as “The Food Marketers” (The Food Marketer Sdn Bhd), is based at Star Boulevard on Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. It offers restaurant social media, paid ads, food-influencer campaigns and F&B operational consulting.

It describes its full-funnel work as covering Xiaohongshu, Meta Ads, CRM flows and creative. Its site names fine dining, omakase, modern Asian, fusion and multi-outlet brands as the ideal fit, and says it is not suited to cafes or single outlets that mainly want content posted.

The site carries a testimonial from Shu Da Xia Hotpot. Its headline figures, such as lower cost and more sales, are not tied to a named client or a method, so ask for case-level results before you sign.

Model: F&B specialist with consulting. Measured in: not stated by client. Pricing signal: contact for quote.

Marvant — Paid Media and In-House Content

A Petaling Jaya performance agency running Google, Meta, TikTok and Xiaohongshu ads with in-house video for cafes, restaurants and food brands. It names several F&B clients with results.

More detail on Marvant

Marvant Evolutions Sdn Bhd is based at Pelangi Square in Petaling Jaya. Its F&B page covers Google Ads, SEO, social media management, Meta, Xiaohongshu and TikTok ads, content creation and in-house video, with Meta Pixel and GA4 tracking set up before launch.

It says it has partnered with over 50 F&B brands in Malaysia and names Coco Loca, Miltoast House and The Soybean Factory. It reports organic reach up 36% for The Soybean Factory, and 2,000 organic followers within two months of launch for Miltoast House.

One thing to check: parts of its F&B page still carry wording from its interior design page. It shows Google Partner and Meta Business Partner badges. It publishes its starting fee in its FAQ.

Model: performance and content. Measured in: reach, followers, enquiries. Pricing signal: published in its FAQ.

ZenWeb — Search and Direct Orders, Built Around Delivery Apps

A Petaling Jaya agency whose F&B programme is built around winning orders back from GrabFood and foodpanda. It does not name F&B clients, so ask for references.

More detail on ZenWeb

ZenWeb is based at Pinnacle PJ and is part of a group founded in Japan in 2000. Its F&B programme combines per-outlet websites with table reservations and direct ordering, local SEO, Google Ads including brand defence against aggregator bids, and Reels-first Meta Ads.

It lists a wide range of formats, from cafes, kopitiams and bubble tea shops to fast-casual chains and cloud kitchens. It runs separate audiences, creative and landing pages for halal and non-halal outlets.

Its reporting separates aggregator orders from direct-website orders and ties reservations and walk-ins to their channel. It publishes its prices. The page names no F&B clients and labels its charts as illustrative, so ask for references.

Model: full-service, F&B programme. Measured in: direct versus aggregator orders. Pricing signal: published.

iWISERS — Social Listening for FMCG Food and Drink

A Petaling Jaya social and data intelligence agency: social listening, crisis monitoring, KOL audits and creative campaigns. A fit for FMCG food and beverage brands rather than single restaurants.

More detail on iWISERS

iWISERS Sdn Bhd, also at Pinnacle PJ, describes itself as a social and data intelligence agency. Its services run from social listening, crisis monitoring, influencer audits and consumer insight to brand strategy and social campaigns.

It says it is trusted by 250 APAC brands. Its client logos include Danone and Red Bull, and its case entries include Ajinomoto and The Marini’s Group, without detail on the work.

Marketech APAC reported in December 2025 that iWISERS helped Sunshine Bakeries revive its social media, with Facebook followers up 62% and Instagram up 67% in a year. Its strength is knowing what consumers say about a brand; it is not built around table bookings.

Model: social intelligence and creative. Measured in: sentiment, engagement, followers. Pricing signal: contact for quote.

Aliq Studio — Weekly Food Content in Three Languages

A new Kuala Lumpur studio for independent restaurants, cafes and bars: weekly food photography, short video and social in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese. It publishes no measured results yet.

More detail on Aliq Studio

Aliq Studio is operated by Aliq Group Sdn Bhd in Bandar Sri Damansara and says it was formed in 2026. Its F&B offer covers weekly food photography, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Xiaohongshu content, brand identity, short-form video and food-influencer collaborations.

It writes in English, BM and Chinese, and says its Xiaohongshu content is written in Chinese rather than translated from English. Its site carries testimonials from Boleros, a bar and restaurant in Subang Jaya, and the caterer We Cater Too.

Being new, it has no measured case results on its F&B page, so judge it on sample work.

Model: content studio. Measured in: not yet published. Pricing signal: contact for quote.

What good F&B reporting looks like

Whichever agency you pick, ask for reporting that follows a guest past the like. Follower counts flatter content that never fills a table; direct reservations, orders you own and occupancy do not.

More detail on F&B reporting

A useful monthly report for a restaurant group shows, per outlet: direct reservations, direct orders against GrabFood and foodpanda orders, weekend and weekday occupancy, and the content or campaign behind each change.

For a bar, add late-night revenue. For an FMCG brand, swap tables for reach, saves, shares and marketplace or retail sell-through.

If an agency cannot connect its numbers to your reservation system, your WhatsApp line or your point-of-sale data, you will be paying for activity you cannot check.

So which one?

shakalakaa, if you run restaurants or bars and want social, video and search measured in tables booked and evenings filled, backed by a named Malaysian result.

Alternatives only for narrower needs: an upscale or omakase group wanting an F&B-only consultancy, BrandsMarc; paid media with in-house content for a cafe or food brand, Marvant; winning orders back from delivery apps, ZenWeb; an FMCG brand that needs social listening, iWISERS; a single cafe or bar wanting content in three languages, Aliq Studio.

Before you sign with anyone, ask three questions: which F&B clients of theirs you can call; how they report direct bookings and orders against delivery-app orders; and, for a bar or nightclub, how they keep alcohol campaigns inside each platform’s policies.

For how we run campaigns by outlet, see our page on restaurant and cafe marketing. To talk through your outlets, get in touch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best F&B marketing agency in Malaysia?

shakalakaa, for restaurants and bars measured on tables booked: Amazonas at The Exchange TRX went from 45 to 142 direct reservations a month. Choose on fit, measurement, channels and F&B proof. Alternatives: BrandsMarc for upscale restaurant groups, and iWISERS for FMCG food and drink brands that need social listening.

What does an F&B marketing agency do for a restaurant group?

It runs the channels guests use to choose where to eat, such as Google Business Profile, Instagram, TikTok and paid social, campaign by outlet. It should also shorten the path to a direct booking or order, and report reservations, orders and occupancy rather than likes.

How should a bar or nightclub in Malaysia advertise on social media?

Sell the evening: the room, the drinks, the music and the weekend crowd, posted ahead of each weekend. Every campaign must follow each platform’s alcohol policy; Meta, for one, treats ads for alcohol-led venues as alcohol ads that cannot reach anyone under 18. Ask any agency how it handles that before you sign.

Should an F&B brand rely on GrabFood and foodpanda for growth?

Delivery apps bring orders, but the platform keeps the customer relationship. Most operators do better running delivery alongside channels they own, such as direct reservations, their own ordering page and a WhatsApp line, and asking their agency to report the two separately.
