Search "WhatsApp automation Malaysia" and most of what you'll find is software — a licence you configure yourself. We build and manage the actual workflow: qualification flows, approved message templates, no-show follow-up, compliant broadcast — the software is one line item inside a system we build and maintain, not the whole deliverable.
Everything runs on the official WhatsApp Business API, never an unofficial blasting tool that risks your number getting banned.
The official WhatsApp Business API runs through Meta-approved Business Solution Providers, respects opt-in and message-template rules, and keeps your number safe. Unofficial "blast" tools simulate a personal WhatsApp app to send bulk messages outside Meta's rules — cheaper upfront, but one mass complaint away from your number being permanently banned, taking every existing customer conversation with it.
We build exclusively on the official API. It costs more than a grey-market tool and is worth every ringgit of the difference, because the alternative is rebuilding your entire customer communication channel from zero after a ban.
Meta charges per business-initiated conversation template sent outside the 24-hour customer service window, at rates that vary by country and message category (utility, marketing, authentication). This is billed by Meta directly — separate from your Business Solution Provider's platform fee (typically RM200–600/month) and separate again from our management fee. Three distinct line items, never bundled into one number to obscure what you're actually paying for and to whom.
In Malaysia, PDPA compliance means consent captured properly at the point of enquiry, marketing messages kept separate from transactional ones, and opt-outs honoured across every connected workflow — built in as standard, not an afterthought.
Singapore adds the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry and PDPA obligations on top of that base layer: marketing consent captured separately from enquiry response, follow-up sequences scoped to the purpose the lead actually consented to, and records kept so consent can be evidenced. We build Singapore workflows with this baked in from day one — the same automation stack serves both markets, but the workflow logic is what changes per jurisdiction.
Clinic follow-up & no-show reduction — automated appointment reminders and confirmation flows that cut no-show rates by 30–50%, freeing front desk staff from manual calendar chasing. See our WhatsApp marketing for Malaysian clinics guide for the mechanics.
Lead qualification flows — a structured conversation that pre-screens an enquiry before it reaches your sales team, the same pattern behind our WhatsApp qualification flow build for clinic leads.
E-commerce flows — abandoned cart recovery, order confirmation, and post-purchase sequences that turn one-time buyers into repeat customers.
Compliant broadcast — approved marketing templates sent to properly opted-in customer lists, structured to survive a PDPA or DNC audit, not just to reach an inbox.
Every flow is instrumented so the outcome — not just the message sent — is trackable: see tracking WhatsApp clicks with GTM and offline conversion imports for WhatsApp leads for how that data feeds back into ad platform bidding.
Management typically runs RM1,500–4,000/month depending on workflow complexity, plus the Business Solution Provider's platform fee (roughly RM200–600/month) and Meta's per-template conversation charges billed directly by Meta. Three separate, transparent line items — never bundled to hide what's actually being paid for. Current published rates live at fees.shakalakaa.com.
