Activ: Senior Care E-commerce SEO from 2,800 to 10,920 Non-Branded Visitors a Month

Search engine optimisation for Activ, Respack's senior care range of adult diapers and pants: bilingual keyword mapping, reviewed care guides, product and FAQ schema and mobile speed work, measured in organic orders rather than rankings alone.

The client

Activ is Respack's senior care range — adult diapers and pants, including a hyaluronic-acid line for sensitive skin — sold direct to consumers through its own online store. Its buyers are family caregivers and active older adults, and a large share of them start on Google with a practical question: which diaper will not leak overnight, which is gentle on sensitive skin, what size fits.

The problem

At the start of 2024 the site drew about 2,800 non-branded organic visitors a month and ranked on page one for only 14 keywords, three of them in the top three. Organic search was producing around 1,200 packs a month in orders, so most new customers had to be bought through paid channels.

What we did

  • Caregiver intent mapping. Pages and URLs restructured around what caregivers and active seniors actually search, in English ("best adult diapers for sensitive skin") and in Bahasa Melayu ("lampin dewasa tak bocor").
  • Reviewed care guides. Guides on incontinence care and preventing skin irritation, each carrying the bio of the geriatric nurse or dermatologist who reviewed it, with citations and clear product-safety notes — the trust signals Google looks for on health-related pages.
  • Category and product pages that rank. Category pages targeted at the transactional searches, which took the brand to position one for "adult diapers Malaysia", "hyaluronic acid adult diaper" and "lampin dewasa" on the client's rank tracker.
  • Schema and speed. Product, Offer and FAQ schema so star ratings, price and stock show in search results, MedicalWebPage schema on the guides, and image and JavaScript work to bring mobile pages under 1.5 seconds.
  • Guides that lead to a purchase. Internal links from each guide to the matching product and trial-pack pages, and complementary products — bamboo wipes, zinc cream, underpads — offered on product pages.

What this means for your senior care brand

The plain-language version. In twenty months Activ went from 14 to 88 keywords on Google's first page, non-branded visitors nearly quadrupled, and organic search now brings in about 4,200 packs a month in orders — each customer costing less than half what it did — without paying for the click.

What this says about shakalakaa: we run SEO for consumer brands in health-related categories the way Google expects those pages to be written, and we measure it in orders. The same brand's paid results are in our Activ Meta Ads case study, and the approach is set out on our e-commerce marketing page.
