The client
ZOGE Interior & Build designs and fits out homes in Malaysia. In early 2023 its goal was brand awareness: to be seen by homeowners likely to renovate, and to send the most interested of them to its website.
The problem
Interior design is a long, considered purchase, so the first job was reach and recognition among the right homeowners at a low cost, without spending the small budget on people who would never renovate.
What we did
- Audience A/B test. Two audiences tested over the first four days; the premium-lifestyle group delivered better results at lower cost and became the priority audience.
- The right objective. A short message campaign produced enquiries at RM 10 each, but because the brief was awareness, budget moved to post engagement, which reached far more people for the money.
- Website traffic with retargeting. A traffic campaign to the website, retargeting people who had already viewed or engaged with ZOGE's ads.
- Creative that stays fresh. Warm-colour and colourful designs outperformed cool ones, and posts were replaced once engagement dropped after about a month.
- Who responded. Homeowners aged 35 to 64 in Johor, Perak, Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Sarawak and Sabah; men engaged most with bedroom designs, women with living rooms and home corners.
